Di-Gi Charat Licensed by Synch-Point
This must of been the "Secret Project", but the blog already mentioned Auditions so it's not really a shocker.
More like an "It's about time" reaction, since Broccoli basically _is_ Di-Gi Charat.

Anime Boston
I might be there if it wasn't 1000 miles away, but that's what the internet's for. It'll probably be boring news, except maybe for Synch-Point's new project annoucement!

I. Hate. Fox. - Wonderfalls Cancelled
As if the network has a love affair with pissing off fans. They like to make great shows, and then cancel them. The only thing I can direct my anger beam at more than Fox for canceling it is the Nielson rating makers for not watching it.
This is the worst kind of cancellation too. A f***ing previewis even shown! What's on instead? another f***ing reality show rerun of all things. I'm still physically violent, and it's been over 24 hours since I found out.

Kodomo no Omocha Licensed!
Reuters:
"NEW YORK (Reuters) - Funimation, the publisher of popular titles such as 'Dragonball Z' and 'Yu Yu Hakusho' today announced to the delight of millions of fans in the United States that the popular Japanese Animation series 'Kodomo no Omocha' (Child's Toy) has been licensed and is set for a DVD release in the coming months. Sources close to the company state that this has been in the pipe for several months now, with the company gearing up for a huge release campaign for the DVDs.
The Press release also states that 'Due to the respect we want to give this title there will be no english dubbing done, and it will be shown on Cartoon Network in Japanese with English Sub-Titles...' Taking a page from the Criterion Collection's treatment of many films. This will also be a first for Cartoon Network."
Unbelievable!

Intel drops GHZ
Intel decides to drop the Speed Rating from the name; AMD was once criticized for not using the actual speed ratings in the name, misleading consumers and the like. Now Intel follows the lead of so many other Companies (Mainly Video Card manufactuers) with confusing names.
Well, okay, so it's not so confusing as it is obfuscating actual specs in favor of model numbers. Perhaps for the general consumer one number is easier to understand than GHZ and Bus Speeds and other proprietary features:
"This PC has an Intel 530, which is better than an Intel 510." Going back to the pre-Pentium days of 386, 486, ect.
But with multiple Processor manufactuers, it's not going to be a universal system. Someone's going to look on a game package, or their new copy of Photoshop CS and read that the minimum system requirements asks for a 1 GHZ Processor, and all they know is they purchased a PC with an Intel 375.
Most can't even seem to interpret the TV and Video Game Rating systems.

Tenshi ni Narumon! It's here! Finally Here!
It's been 16 months since I received Volume 1 of Tenshi ni Narumon (I'm Gonna be an Angel), and now, finally, after it was put on hold until Synch-Point finished FLCL, and through delay after delay, it has finally arrived! Volume 2! (sniff. it's so beautiful.)
My only beef is that, so far at least, there's no promotion for purchasing from AnimeGamers, like there has been for all the previous Synch-Point releases. Still, if they start something, I'm sure they'll imburse me *grin*.

Past midnight yet?
Maybe, but Happy St. Patrick's Day anyway!

Could be...
I think I may need therapy; Last night I dreamt that Synch-Point's new "Secret Project" is actually Kodomo no Omocha!
Who knows? Maybe it's a sign!

Wonderfalls
Weird, weird show. Which means watch it! Things like this have a very poor track record for staying on the air for very long.

Sailor Moon leaving!
March 11th 2004, ADVFilms:
"ADV Films today announced that the first 86 episodes of the original Sailor Moon television series will no longer be available in the U.S. on home video after April 1, 2004. Although the response of the fans and sales of this video series in both the dubbed- and uncut-subtitled format have been tremendously successful, the creators of the program have decided against continuing the availability of the home video in the U.S. at this time. All episodes released under ADV Films will remain available for sale in retail outlets while supplies last."
Okay, so they were just released mere months ago, if the licenser wants to end it, that's their prerogative. If you want it though, snag it now while it's cheap and available. A seminal series I'm urged to pick up, despite my recent splurges.
